Making the world a brighter place one cup at a time
I love to make these little cups. Each one has it's own personality and each one comes out a little different. I throw these "off of the hump" which means that I center a 5lb ball of clay on the wheel and then I section off a small piece of clay at the top. This sectioned off piece is thrown in to a small cup then cut off of the hump. The hump of clay is still centered so I then section off another piece of the top and throw another cup. I can get 12 - 15 cups out of one hump of clay.
Each cup is made out of mid-range porcelain clay and will withstand the rigors of heavy drinking! All of the glazes are food safe and microwavable.

What's better than waking up in the morning to a bright, happy, colorful mug of coffee or tea? Diana hand throws these cups on the potter's wheel out of porcelain clay then fires them in a kiln once before decorating them with mutiple layers of glaze and underglaze. Then she fires them again to 2150F. The clay is a mid-range porcelain and is very durable for everyday use. All of my glazes are food safe and lead free.
Pitchers look like birds to me. The spout looks like a beak and the colors are always so vibrant. Diana Makes pitchers in small to large sizes some have handles and some just have in indentation that fits perfectly in your hand. These pitchers work great with cream, a special sauce, or maple syrup. Feel free to microwave the ingredients plus the pitcher to warm them up for that perfect meal.

Diana Cronin hand throws a wide variety of platters on the potter's wheel. She also hand builds some when she wants another shape other than the round form. Platters can be tricky when the porcelain clay is drying but taking her time and drying them slowly is the key.

One of a Kind
Diana Cronin has a few one of a kind signature pieces that she has handmade out of porcelain clay. Her napkin rings are extruded clay in a long triangular tube which she then slices off into the individual rings.
The Tipsy Wine Glass is pieced together form thrown and extruded parts and tends to bend and get a little tipsy when fired in the kiln. As one customer states " If the glass starts looking straight then you've had enough to drink!".
The Spirit poles are made up of extruded beads. I decorate them with glaze then they are fired again to 2150F. You can choose your own beads to make up your Spirit Pole. Whatever speaks to you. Their are also circular disk spacers and Balls for toppers. The Beads are strung on a 1/2" piece of rebar and cushioned with foam on the inside. They are safe to keep out in your yard year round
